Who are we?

SLA Productions, is above all a cooperative of (artisans) of Quebec Cinema. The cooperative brings together producers, directors and technicians who are mutually passionate about the art of image and sound. The office is situated in the heart of the Mile-End; the center of the artistic development in Montreal. The members of SLA Productions believe that it is essential to support the emergence of independent productions that are rich with innovation and of original ideas. SLA Productions is involved in this sense, mainly by offering these productions a wide range of equipment and services by qualified technicians.

SLA also offers its services and expertise to companies in Quebec through production of corporate, promotional and advertising video projects.

Workers Cooperative

SLA is a cooperative, that is to say, a social economy enterprise. A balanced and democratic structure ensures that each member shares an equal portion of the company and has equal rights among other members. The visions of the cooperative are determined by all the members in a general meeting.

The administration council is responsible for implementing these guidelines while the coordination council ensures that daily operations are running smoothly. This style of decision-making abolishes the traditional hierarchy of the industry. SLA believes that this structure will lead Quebec cinema to a new stage in it’s history.
